Manic Monday?

Manic Monday, There is so much to share but don't want to overwhelm anyone with my manic thoughts, so please except my apoligies, before hand.....for my ramble's.

Today I started to ween off diet coke....yes that is what you just read no need to adjust the screen.  I am sick of drinking a case of it every few days.  So today I cut back and added tea and sparking water.. bring on the splitting headace that I am sure that I will be having tomorrow!  I hate the way water taste's just is so boring. Even with the crystal light I put into it doesn't help at all.  I wish that water could taste like diet coke, then it would be so much better.

The next mind numbing rant is, Why do women give other women bad names, The idea of the craziness that we women can sometimes be just awful. We have a friend that is going through a tough time. He and his babies mama broke up a while ago and everything was going well and things were on good terms. Now bare in mind I DO NOT take sides, when friends break up. It is their business and their issues to work through. with that said, why do some people use their children to make their ex suffer. Like they are the buttons that they push & know that it will really be the one thing that will tare the other in half. This is what is going on with our friend and it is heartbreaking to see him not able to see his little girl because she doesn't feel like letting him see her because she is wanting to hurt him now. Don't people get it that its not the ex that is going to suffer as much as it is their child. Why can't they remember the start of their relationships, I am not saying that everyone in every situation should be letting their children see the other parent if their life is in danger.  Just put the bullshit away and be a parent. We all hate our ex's and if you don't you are a saint.  So why don't you think back to the when you use to be in love. Not that you should fall back in love with your ex, but just remember that you were once in love with this person and created a life.

“My blog is carbon neutral” We interrupt this program.....

I know that this isn't Earth day week still but I found this blog and I knew I had to do this. I mean being green isn't a fad it is a way of life and Earth day really should be everyday so I found a way to make my blog carbon neutral and I would love for it to be paid forward to other bloggers out there. So please enjoy go to the link and have one less thing we do effect anything we touch! :)

“My blog is carbon neutral” is an initiative, originally started in Germany by the “Make it Green” program, that has the goal to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. We plant a tree for your blog and thereby neutralise your blog’s carbon footprint for the next 50 years! Everyone can make a small contribution to the environment. Every tree counts! I think this is the perfect idea for anyone that blogs.  How much carbon dioxide does a tree absorb?

Unfortunately, no precise answer is possible. The carbon dioxide absorption of a tree can differ a lot. The amount of carbon dioxide that a tree can absorb depends on the type of tree, light exposure, length of the vegetation period, latitude, water balance, and the soil conditions.

There are many different calculations for the saving potential of a tree. The assumed values vary between 10 and 30kg (20 and 70lb.) for a tree each year. It is certain however, that in its first two to three years a tree absorbs relatively little carbon dioxide. In the growth phase following this, the absorption rate increases rapidly. During this time, the tree safes a considerable amount of carbon dioxide. The absorption rate decrease again from the age of 18.

The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) assumes a yearly absorption of one tree of approximately 10kg (20lb.) carbon dioxide emissions. “Make it green”, the environmental programme of kaufDA, is using a yearly absorption value of 5kg (11lb.) for its “My blog is carbon neutral” initiative. This is a very conservative calculation, ensuring that the neutralisation of each blog is achieved.

One tree neutralises the carbon dioxide emissions of your blog

As demonstrated in the above calculation, the atmosphere can be relieved by an average of 5kg (11lb.) carbon dioxide every year by planting one tree. An average blog causes 3.6kg (8lb.) of carbon dioxide emissions. Consequently, a tree neutralises the carbon dioxide emissions of a blog. Since a tree lives for an average of 50 years, carbon dioxide emissions of your blog can be completely neutralised for this time period.http://www.kaufda.de/umwelt/carbon-neutral/how-you-can-join/ or email at : CO2-neutral@kaufda.de

New blog makeover!!!

I have to say that I LOVE my new blog! It is amazing job that Custom Blog Designs.... did for me! If you need a great blog then you need to have Custom Blog Designs! She did such a great job and I know I wasn't the easiest person to get this done. I am still learning how things work in the blog world.
It is everything I wanted. If you want me to ad your business then please send me an email.

This week I am going to highlight a few women owned businesses in my local area. If you would like to be highlighted please let me know. I am always looking for more fun people & places to write about.
I have a ton of things planned the next few weeks. One thing I am planning is a Rockabilly festival. It is going to be a blast, we will do it June 19th. There will be bands that will be playing, food, a fashion show for kids & another one for Men/Women. We will also be have a car show. It is going to be so much fun for us all! I am really looking forward to doing this & planning all the things leading up to it.

This weekend had its share of good times and bad. My friend turned 40 and we had a b-day party for her. My friends Dennis and Keith got married, I got to take a nice hot bubble bath, read outside for a an hour in the sunshine,  played with the fur babies, watched movies and cuddled on the couch, see and visit with friends, The not so good was cleaning and scrubbing the house twice, (within 4 hours for) eachother. Another family member past away and we had yet another funeral to attend.  We were trying to work in the garden and between the sun breaks there was many down pours that made the garden nothing but mud! I am pretty happy that this weekend is over &  I am looking forward to a new week with a fresh start!

Happy Sunday!

Skipped a day... Oops! :)

Wow, I don't have much to say the past few days, I don't think that happens very often! So be happy that you got a break!
My blog is doing a 360 make over and I am so excited to see what you all think of it! I am so thankful with all the doors that this is opening for me. I am getting ready to plan a Kingstongirl coming out party for one in Kingston and one in Poulsbo, after that they are going to find a place for me to go and do one in Silverdale & one on Bainbridge Island. I am trying to get in on the Parade for Viking fest.( For those of you that don't know what that is, it is a festival in the cute town of Poulsbo) It has been one of my favorite things in my community to do. I am also going to be in the Kingston 4th of July parade. I am working on a Rockabilly festival we just need to find the right place for it. I also want to do a Children's fair down town Kingston at the new Village Green park this summer. Charge vendors to be in the fashion show and give all the money that is made at the event to the new historical museum in Kingston. This way my Grandpa and his family could see it before they pass away.

Chris has been working so hard in our yard. I am so thankful he has done so much around here. I promise to post pictures this week. We are planning so much things to do this summer and I can hardly wait. I am looking forward to getting to read in the sun, go to a M's game, wedding's, showers for brides to be & mommy's to be, pedi's and mani's self tanner, viking fest, trips to Bellingham, leavenworth, parades, long summer evenings, camping, shorts and sandles, blowing bubbles, spending time with Chris in down town Seattle, Sunlakes, crafts, playing in the garden and eating the veggies & fruit that we have grown. Walks on the beach in Hansville. Family time & BBQ's, My birthday! Scrapbooking weekend. Just to get all of you thinking of summer. I hope that you leave me a comment of all the wonderful things that you are looking forward to now that Summer is coming up so fast. Note to self I need a friend or two with a boat. :)

I am going to do a new post on Fridays...about where to go on a tank of gas! If you have a place that you would like me to try out and blog about please contact me. Also When I reach a 100 followers I will be doing a big giveway.
This week coming up we will do a giveaway from a local photographer & I will be doing a blog post about a wonderful salon in Poulsbo so keep checking in with me.

The Real Earth day is today! :)

Today is earth day. This week we have done many things to celebrate Earth day. What I have come to realize while I am out working in my garden or being in my yard doing composting, wanting to have a small farm. It is all in my blood, my family has always tended their land and have always made the best with what they had in their garden. I am looking forward to doing that for my family & friends from the things we are able to grow in my garden. Hope you had a great earth day and was able to do something to celebrate 40 years of Earth Days & to see how far we have come.
